Rajasthan University’s 35th Convocation to Celebrate Women Empowerment and National Pride

Rajasthan University (RU), a premier institution of academic heritage, is set to host its 35th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. This year’s event transcends academic achievement, positioning itself as a powerful symbol of Nari Shakti (women’s power) and national excellence.

Vice President of India to Grace the Occasion

The ceremony will be elevated by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, who will serve as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests include Shri Haribhau Bagde, Shri Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, and Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa. In a tribute to national discipline, the event will commence with the stirring melodies of an Indian Army military band.  

The Rise of Women Leadership and Academic Dominance

A defining feature of this convocation is the overwhelming success of female students and the prominence of women in the university’s governance.

Leadership :

Under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alpana Kateja, women hold top positions across administration and finance.  

Gold Medalists :

Out of 250 total gold medals for the years 2024 and 2025, female students secured a staggering 194 medals (92 in 2024 and 102 in 2025), significantly outperforming their male counterparts.

Academic Milestones and Scale

A total of 2,71,710 degrees will be conferred during the ceremony, including 1 D.Lit. and 300 Ph.D. degrees. The Faculty of Arts leads the count with 1,21,350 degrees, followed by the Faculty of Education with 51,426.
